Message from John

Elements of Evangelism

It is my opinion that all Christians need to be involved in some form of “evangelism”. You cannot keep what you do not share. To keep our faith we must give it away. That requires us to know what we believe and how to share it with those in need. Since all people are sinners and mortal, all people should be interested in finding forgiveness and immortality. Jesus offers these and is the only one who by his resurrection has proved he can deliver the goods.
Disciples of Jesus need to be sharing the good news of forgiveness and the reality of eternal life. What can we expect when we attempt to evangelize? I have chosen to talk about three “Elements of Evangelism” this morning. At various times in our efforts to evangelize, we will experience these items.
-Romans 9:2
Matthew 13:19-22
Acts 17:16
Philippians 3:18
II Timothy 4:10
-Acts 14:22
Matthew 10:17-18
II Timothy 4:14-16
II Timothy 3:12
Hebrews 10:32-34
-Luke 10:17-21
II Timothy 4:17-18
Philippians 3:20,21
Hebrews 11:32-40
I Peter 5:8-11
Revelation 7:9-17
Hallelujah!
John Cooper

Jame & Corren Lind are the proud parents of a baby boy. Logan James was born on May 16 about 5:30 AM. He weighed in at 8 lbs. 15.7 oz. and was 20 1/2 inches long. Congratulations to the Linds.

Special Prayer Request
Please pray for Chuck Dunlap. Chuck is presently in Veteran’s Hospital with severe bladder problems (infection & bladder failure). Keep him in your prayers and close to your heart.

Camp Scholarships: If you can help, please make the check payable to “CCYC” and earmark it as “camp scholarship.” You can either put it in the collection plate or give it directly to Doug. Thank you!
Call For Key Return
Since the locks have been changed on the outside doors for security reasons, there have been 83 building keys issued and we have individuals that are in need of keys for teaching or other reasons , calling for more. It is an added expense to keep having new keys made so if you are no longer in need of your church door key, please turn it in to the office so that we may mark you off the assignment list and re-issue it to new teachers or new workers.
