Each Sunday morning immediately after services there are men and women called Prayer Warriors, who can be identified by the badges they will be wearing, to pray with you or for you. If you have needs of any kind or know someone who needs prayers, or if you have prayers of Thanksgiving…or any kind of prayers that you would like to have someone pray with you about, take advantage of this opportunity. It is strictly confidential…those who are available are caring, concerned, godly folks, who will maintain strictest confidence…but are willing to pray for or with you about anything you feel you would like to pray about. God tells us to pray in so many verses…in so many circumstances. We must be a praying people…so if you have need, please avail yourself of this prayer time. They usually are at the back of the auditorium but can be found anywhere in the building. Also there is a box in the hallway by the nursery for you to write a request on and it will be prayed about in the Wed evening meeting and other times when we gather to pray. Please avail yourself of this ministry.
For those of you who are reading this on the internet web page and feel the need of prayer warriors please call the church office and you will be referred to one of the prayer warriors who will assist you in any way they can.
Also for anyone who would like to join us, each Wed evening at 6:15, there are some of us who meet at the building to pray for half an hour, for many things, both personal and church family related, for our nation and anything that we need to talk to God about….there are always many things we discuss with Him. We invite you to join us in room 103, at 6:15 pm to 6:45 pm., to spend some time with God.
Prayer - a way to converse with God
"And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit." (Eph.2:22)
Daily Prayer Requests for February 28 to March 7, 2010
Sunday - Let's be people of prayer for protection of the city in which we live. Thank our Father for those that are living their faith, declaring their faith and exercising their faith to make this city a better city, a city that lives His purposes and fulfills His destiny. Thank Him for every leader that has a heart after Him.
Monday - Thank God for His presence in our country and His desire to be a part of every life and every decision. Pray for Him to be with those in our Congress who know Him. Ask help for them to recommit to the job of representing the people who elected them, and give them boldness and courage to stand up for truth in every area of their work.
Tuesday - Pray for all our brothers and sisters and all those close to believing in Jesus as Lord who find themselves in dangerous circumstances. Pray that they will be given hope and while evil forces try to discourage them, if they keep seeking the truth, it will never be stopped from coming to them.Wednesday - Pray for all those in military service today. Ask the LORD to fill their hearts with peace so they may endure these days when peace seems so far away, and pray for all those who have put their own lives on hold to protect those in need.
Thursday - Fear of death is probably the greatest fear that people ever experience. Pray for anyone you know who is close to the end of life here on this earth that God would reveal to them Jesus, who died for all and lives forever. Pray that they experience knowledge of him in such a fresh way they can believe and accept his message of salvation and his peace that passes understanding.
Friday - Ask God to make our church more like He wants it to be. Draw us into deeper fellowship. Give us a deeper commitment to prayer. Turn us against sin and yet show a deep love for those struggling to move from it in their lives. Pray to be a family that reflects the grace and character of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Saturday - There's a simple little script many of us play in our mind—simple, yet incredibly dangerous. I could really be happy and fulfilled if only I had … Make a choice to replace that statement with God's truth. Be assured that you're right where He wants you to be, doing what He wants you to do, ask for His help today & give thanks!
Sunday - Ask God to show you who to pray for. You might be surprised who He puts on your mind. Pray for them, and ask God to keep reminding you. Pray immediately when you become aware of a need. Don't tell yourself you'll pray later, because chances are you won't remember. Tell yourself to "stop, drop and pray" right away when you hear of an urgent matter.
