Each Sunday morning immediately after services there are men and women called Prayer Warriors, who can be identified by the badges they will be wearing, to pray with you or for you. If you have needs of any kind or know someone who needs prayers, or if you have prayers of Thanksgiving…or any kind of prayers that you would like to have someone pray with you about, take advantage of this opportunity. It is strictly confidential…those who are available are caring, concerned, godly folks, who will maintain strictest confidence…but are willing to pray for or with you about anything you feel you would like to pray about. God tells us to pray in so many verses…in so many circumstances. We must be a praying people…so if you have need, please avail yourself of this prayer time. They usually are at the back of the auditorium but can be found anywhere in the building. Also there is a box in the hallway by the nursery for you to write a request on and it will be prayed about in the Wed evening meeting and other times when we gather to pray. Please avail yourself of this ministry.
For those of you who are reading this on the internet web page and feel the need of prayer warriors please call the church office and you will be referred to one of the prayer warriors who will assist you in any way they can.
Also for anyone who would like to join us, each Wed evening at 6:15, there are some of us who meet at the building to pray for half an hour, for many things, both personal and church family related, for our nation and anything that we need to talk to God about….there are always many things we discuss with Him. We invite you to join us in room 103, at 6:15 pm to 6:45 pm., to spend some time with God.
Daily Prayer Requests for July 25 to August 1, 2010
Sunday - "Go in the strength you have..." (Judges 6:14) What strength do I have? Some days I realize I don't have much at all. But I do have His strength. And what kind of strength is that? The kind that is made perfect in weakness. So here's truth worth getting out of bed for, the kind that's like coffee for our hearts. God still offers it to us every morning (especially on the ones when we feel weary)--Pray today to go in the strength you have...and He will be the strength you need.
Monday - Humanitarian groups are the first to acknowledge that, six months after the devastating Haiti earthquake, the road to recovery will be long and difficult. From the immediate hours after the quake and ongoing, in all, efforts — including the distribution of hygiene, school and baby kits, tents, wheelchairs, medical kits and other supplies — have directly assisted Haitians. Pray for continued blessing on the aid workers there and for them to have the energy needed to deal with these ongoing serious needs.
Friday - A new report found that almost half of Americans aged 36-62 do not have enough in their retirement plans, at the same time that Congress is considering raising the Social Security retirement age and having a means test for Medicare. Pray that both government and individuals will curtail unessential spending in favor of saving.
Saturday - Dutch researchers are close to developing a blood test to determine if the unborn child of a pregnant woman has Down syndrome or other chromosomal abnormalities. A new study concludes that older adults who are deficient in Vitamin D are more likely to experience serious declined in cognitive abilities. Give thanks for the researchers and the levels of technology enabling new findings from infants to the aging.
Sunday - What are your gifts? In what ways are you using them to help others or partner with other believers? Each individual has a special part to play here. God gives His children gifts listed in I Corinthians 12:4-12 and Romans 12:3-8. Pray that God will utilize your combined giftings to help and love those around you.
