Dates have been set
for July 26th - August 5th, 2008, for the next medical mission trip to Honduras. We will work at the medical clinic in Tegucigalpa. There will be one to two travel days on each end of these dates, making approximately a two week trip.
Although specific plans remain to be worked out, we will likely work again at the medical and dental clinics, as well as the pharmacy. There will be many opportunities for work with and teach the children and parents who come to the clinic. We will also attempt to have a portion of our group building one or two houses.
Airfare and other expenses are yet unknown. As with previous years, it is likely that costs with be somewhat more than $1000 per person for the trip, potentially more with increased fuel costs, and potentially less if fundraising is successful.
We are eager to include in the group those with medical, nursing, pharmacy, dental, construction, teaching or other skills, as well as anyone else who is eager to give of themselves in this effort. High school seniors and older are given priority, along with adults of any age.
